iWant the new iPhone

So we’re exactly one month away from the release of the new iPhone. Coincidentally, my contract for Verizon has finally ended. Let me start out by saying I will be purchasing a new iPhone on July 11. In fact, I will be buying two (1 for me and 1 for Vee). However, unlike my Apple Fanboy friend Drew, I’m a little disappointed with some of the features that wont be coming with my new iPhone.

On the top of my list is lack of Bluetooth Stereo support (A2DP). This past Christmas my brother got me the Motorola S9 Bluetooth stereo headset. It answers calls, It plays music in stereo, and best of all… no damn wires to get all tangled up. It’s hard to believe Apple, maker of the iPod, ignores putting this into their latest “wireless” device. Sadly, the phone I will be replacing (Motorola Q) has this feature and it’s over two years old.

Other oversights inlcude lack of MMS. I don’t text that much but from time to time I do like sending photos from my phone to friends and family. The phone has a freakin’ camera on it! Oh, and speaking of camera, the new iPhone has pretty much the same camera as the old iPhone. A 2-megapixel camera isn’t enough and I’ll still lug one my regular cameras around when I go out.

In the grand scheme of things the iPhone will still be awesome. I’m guessing my gripes with the missing features will soon fade away when I start playing with all the cool stuff it does come with. This will be my first Apple product and I’m looking forward to seeing what I’ve been missing.
